The International Indian Statistical Association (IISA) is seeking nominations for two Young Researcher Awards for 2013. The awards will honor one outstanding researcher in theory and one in applications. The recipients should have been born no earlier than January 1,1968 and must have demonstrated significant contributions in research (theory and methodology, or applications). In order to be eligible for the award, the candidate must be a member of IISA at the time of nomination.

Nominations should contain (a) a cover letter explaining the significance of the research contributions of the candidate, and specifying the area in which they are to be considered (theory and methods, or applications) (b) an updated CV, and (c) at least two letters of support. They should be sent to Mouli Banerjee (moulib@umich.edu) on or before February 15, 2014, via e-mail (preferably as a pdf file but doc files are also fine). The awards will be presented at the 2014 IISA Conference in Riverside, July 11-13, 2014 and will involve plaques and cash prizes.

The award is co-sponsored by IISA and Statistical Methodology (the official journal of IISA).
