DEMYSTIFYING DATA SCIENCE VIA STATISTICS: THEORY AND APPLICATIONS The International Purdue Symposium on Statistics is a venerable tradition, an event that has been held every five years at Purdue since the late 1960s (started by Professor Shanti Gupta), in an effort to further the development of the field of Statistics. The theme of the 9th International Purdue Symposium on Statistics was “Data Revolution: Opportunities and Challenges for Statistics.” The 2023 Purdue Symposium includes one day of workshops on June 6, three days of sessions and plenary talks, June 7-9, and a variety of social activities.
