Professor Dipak Dey from University of Connecticut has been selected to receive the International Indian Statistical Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award. This award recognizes distinguished members of the association who represent “models of excellence” to IISA members. Specifically, the award recognizes outstanding contributions to the theory, methods and application of statistics including probability, data science and technology (research, innovation, and leadership) by IISA members, including India Chapter members. The award also recognizes innovative contribution to the statistics profession through significant impact on matters of societal concern on health, safety, environment, economic development and welfare. This award is the highest professional award conferred on its members by IISA.
