IMS Fellow David Allison (Indiana University School of Public Health–Bloomington) is a member of the committee that wrote a 2019 National Academies report on reproducibility and replicability in science. He appeared on November 13, 2019, before the US House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology to discuss recommendations and findings in the report. The report recommends ways that researchers, academic institutions, journals, and funders should help strengthen rigor and transparency in order to improve the reproducibility and replicability of scientific research.
