The 2011 IMS Carver Medal is awarded to Professor Ross Leadbetter, Department of Statistics and Operations Research, University of North Carolina.

The citation reads, “For his contributions to the success of the 1994 Third World Congress at North Carolina, for his service on the IMS Council, and for his editorial work.” Ross will be presented with the medal at the IMS Presidential Address and Awards Ceremony at JSM in Miami on Monday, August 1, 8:00pm.
