AUS-ICMS was initiated by the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the American University of Sharjah (AUS). AUS is one of the high caliber young universities in the Arabian Gulf region with vision to become leading research university in the Arab world. AUS-ICMS incarnates the spirit of research fostered by AUS. It was held on campus three times: first time in 2010, second time in 2015 and the third time in 2020. More than 250 researchers from many different countries around the world participated in the conference. The high quality theoretical and applied work presented at the conference through keynote lectures, special and contributed sessions has helped in advancing the image of AUS regionally and internationally. It has also helped in the exposure of research quality conducted at AUS in general and at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics in particular.
AUS-ICMS was particularly featured by having it cooperated with the American Mathematical Society (AMS). The technical cooperation with AMS has contributed enormously to the great success of the conference in the past.
