Yuting Wei, Associate Professor in the Department of Statistics and Data Science at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, has received the 2026 Peter Gavin Hall IMS Early Career Prize. Dr. Wei receives the award “for contributions to statistical theory and methodology in learning from high-dimensional and structured data; for advancing the statistical foundations of reinforcement learning and diffusion models; and for fostering the integration of statistics and machine learning in genomics applications.”
