The Caucus for Women in Statistics and Data Science (CWS) celebrated the achievements of its two 2025 Societal Impact Award winners: Shili Lin and Sarah Lotspeich. Dr. Lin is a professor of statistics at the Ohio State University and is recognized for outstanding mentoring of students and junior researchers, especially women; championing promotion of women in statistics; and instilling an appreciation for statistics and data science in the next generation of middle and high school students. Dr. Lotspeich is an assistant professor at Wake Forest University and is recognized for her exceptional enthusiasm in engaging women in the statistical profession; unwavering commitment to training the next generation; and groundbreaking research to promote accurate, impactful analyses for public health research domestically & internationally.
