Weijie Su, assistant professor of statistics at the University of Pennsylvania, has received the inaugural Early Career Prize in Data Science awarded by the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM). It recognizes an outstanding early career researcher in the mathematics of data science. Weijie will give a talk at the 2022 SIAM conference on Mathematics of Data Science (MDS22: September 26–30, 2022, in San Diego). His citation is for “outstanding contributions to the theoretical and computational foundations of data science.”
