This conference is held in memory of Evarist Giné (1944-2015), who was an influential, brilliant and prolific contributor to modern probability theory and mathematical statistics, with a focus on problems arising in infinite-dimensional settings. His work has had a profound impact on modern probability theory, mathematical statistics and recently also machine learning.

The workshop will highlight recent activities in the areas Evarist worked in, as well as memorial sessions to celebrate his mathematical achievements.
