The Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Arkansas will hold the 45th Spring Lecture Series in the Mathematical Sciences in Fayetteville, April 18-20, 2019. The principal lecturer is Mike West, Arts & Sciences Professor of Statistics & Decision Sciences at Duke University. He will deliver five lectures on “Bayesian Analysis for Multivariate Dynamic Systems: The Decouple/Recouple Concept and Strategies.” There will also be ten 45-minute invited talks, as well as contributed talks and a poster session. The conference will be immediately preceded by an afternoon of introductory lectures directed to graduate students and new researchers having the purpose of making the main topics more accessible to a wider audience. Limited financial support is available for junior participants.
