Report on the comments received by the Institute of Mathematical Statistics in response to the proposal to change the name of the NSF Division of Mathematical Sciences

The report on comments received by the Institute of
Mathematical Statistics (IMS) in response to the proposal to change
the name of the NSF Division of Mathematical Sciences is now complete. This was prepared by three former IMS Presidents,
-Peter Bickel (Committee Chair, Statistics Department, UC Berkeley),
-Iain Johnstone (Statistics and Health Research and Policy
Departments, Stanford University),
-Tom Kurtz (Mathematics and Statistics Departments, University of
Wisconsin-Madison).
